Potential buyer - keyboard mode question

I have been looking at the Tomahawk for a while now and just recently saw that keyboard mode was added. I run a hardwoods company and do a lot of data entry for stock I post to our website.
The examples I have seen show the keyboard mode inputting dimensions in decimal form, but I can’t find anything showing how it inputs in fractional form.

Does it write out fractions like “10 3/8” or does it use weird alt codes numbers like “10 ⅜”? If someone could post an example of how it writes fractional dimensions, I would really appreciate it.

Also, does the new T1M run the same software as the Tomahawk? Will it have the same keyboard functionality? I read through all the info on the kickstarter page but I am still unsure.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Ian, thanks for reaching out!

If the T1 were in keyboard mode with inches fractional on the screen they would send to any text entry field as follows:

10 3/8” followed by a keystroke (none, enter, tab, semi colon, etc)

The T1M will have the same capability as well!

Just what I needed to know. Thanks a lot for the response.

To also clarify the above, the parentheses are not sent and just included for clarity!
