I just watched a YouTube video where a guy uses AppleVision Pro for augmented reality on a jobsite with the Rock App and T1. Wow! Very impressive. Will the Rock Jobsite App work on other platforms? ie…MetaQuest Pro? I’m considering purchasing an AR headset but would want compatibility with the T1.
Hello! The Apple Vision Pro demo works through the App Store which allows the ROCK Jobsite app to be downloaded directly to the device. As of now, only Android based headsets with access to the Play Store would work (outside of Vision Pro).
The T1 can enter bluetooth keyboard mode which would allow it to connect to almost any bluetooth enabled device and send captured measurements as keystrokes.
My research since posting the question found that the MetaQuest OS is Meta Horizon which is an Android-based operating system. It sounds like it would work by downloading through the Google Play Store. I’m going to give it a try and will post the results.
Sounds good! Would confirm the Play Store actually works on it as not all Android based devices have access to the play store.
I was able to download the Rock apk and install it using APKPure. The app starts to load the sample project but never completes. It won’t allow me to log in to my account because its trying to load the sample data. Any recommendations?
This is a limitation of the current app as the database (for security reasons) only allows data access from authenticated apps via app or play store so right now the APKPure install wouldnt be able to access the database
