Blutooth connection to other tools

I though I remembered reading that the rock app would be able to connect to other Bluetooth measuring devices? It would be fantastic to be able to capture measurements from caliper as well. Is this upcoming?
In my workflow, there are a huge number of measurements that come from a caliper. It would make this app truly life changing for me if I could integrate all of my project measurement information in one place.

Hello! We have a big roadmap of tools coming with similar bluetooth functionality, stay tuned!

I just thought the same thing. I own a Bosch Laser with Bluetooth and it would be great to use this tool to add new measurements in the list or as an input for a measurement.

Thanks in advance

Docs were recently updated and the first sentence is “The ROCK App integrates directly with many REEKON Tools along with several third-party tools.” Any spoilers?

Can’t share yet but many in the works! Are there specific ones you are looking for?

Nope, just curious  And it might help me decide what I buy next even I don’t need it as I like connected stuff

I have a Shaper caliper I need in ROCK
Also Bosch laser measure
Everything from site measurements to part thickness and hole sizes.
Now that would ROCK!
That would allow me to really dig into the app and figure out workflows and methods. Without it, I’m still copying and transposing and using several locations to store data.
I want this to work. I know it will eventually. Such enormous potential.

Sorry my Bosch doesn’t have Bluetooth.
It the Leica DISTO D1.

Most of these are just HID devices (keyboards), so this should not be difficult.

Just checked Shaper tools :face_with_peeking_eye: - these are incredible, but outside of my budget  The caliper looks like a normal Chinese one with BLE, maybe I will get one

The tool is awesome but their caliper is the most affordable option I could find and at 8"

This was added in todays release, the ROCK Jobsite App now supports Bluetooth enabled Bosch LDMs!

Tried connecting my bosch GLM165-27CG and wasn’t able to connect to the app. I own a Tomahawk T1, M1 Caliber and P1 tagger, they connect fine. Is there any special setting that I’m missing?

Hi Jason, was bluetooth enabled on the Bosch laser and are you on the latest version of the ROCK App?

Bluetooth was enabled. The app version is 1.1.44

Hi Jason, it should show up as a tool if Bluetooth is enabled on the tool screen the same way a normal device does. Could you send a picture of the screen of the GLM tool along with what phone and operating system version are running on your phone?

Also, can you confirm the Bosch LDM is not connected to any other device (including in your phone device manager)?

Hi Derrick,

Thanks for the follow-up. That was indeed the cause of the issue! The Bluetooth was connecting to the Bosch app. I’ve disconnected it from there, and now it connects to the ROCK app without any problems.

Thanks again,
Jason
