I have already backed this product, but great to hear about the ability to use any brand of thermal label. For the rolls that you will be selling pre-configured, what is the quantity of labels in the 50x30 mm rolls? Do you know how big of a roll would fit in the unit? I’m very interested in exactly what to obtain from other sources. Thanks in advance
Hello, there are about 230 labels in a roll for the 30x50mm ones and is about 48mm in diameter

Hey Josh, not yet, they are getting picked up from factory next week and should arrive in US in late July/early August. We will then ship out from warehouse to pre orders!

Can you point me in the right direction on what the plastic yellow piece that looks like it locks and or slides inside where the labels go?
How do you print without the Reekon tag at the top of the labels and use a small image.

Glad to hear it! The yellow piece just helps the labels stay centered but can remain on the right side (or be removed completely if you find it gets in the way).
You can change the default label top banner image under “General Printer Settings” on the settings page

Playing around with it and it seems robust. Very impressed. But will there be an easier way to print plain text? I tried printing a note and it just came out as a black square.
After playing around with the P1L for several days, I’m pleased with the build quality and overall ease of use.
Hopefully, an update comes out with more printing options. It’s odd that I can print photos and QR codes, but can’t print a simple label with Length x Width measurements (prints two labels with QR codes). I attempted to make a custom label to show the total board ft. of wood slabs, but it just prints a QR code and no useful information. I loved that I was able to create a custom label with a board ft. formula and now just want an option to print the results.
The T1 and P1L would make it easy for a woodworker to tag boards.
