When will we be able to purchase this on sites like the T1 Tomahawk? Aka not on kickstarter

Probably in June as it currently stands

Going to guess shipping on these will be delayed till Tariffs go away. I can’t possibly see how you could import it at double the cost.

working through the issues but still full steam ahead, beginning production at the end of this months and well go form there! Also we dont manufacture directly in China so not subject to the largest tariffs

Do we have an update on starting sale date? I really want to get my teams hands on these!

Hello, production is well underway and expect pre orders to begun shipping in August and September!

I just received my T1M and have been playing with it. So far I’ve been happy with it, but I do have two comments:

  1. For center measurements, it would be great if you can exit center mode just by pressing one of the arrow buttons. This will allow us to quickly jump from finding center to measuring to center.

  2. The power off menu item ought to be right up on the top level menu, not buried one menu down and at the bottom of the item list.

Hi! I use Tomahawk T1 and in the settings menu there is a function “OFFSET” where I can adjust the offset (+ or -) of the starting point from the FRONT or BACK surface of T1 (with an accuracy of 0.01 mm). Is there a similar “OFFSET” function on T1M? Thanks for your time!

Hello Vadim, not yet but this is coming in an upcoming firmware update. What do you currently use this feature for?

Hi therock, I used the OFFSET function to correct the rear zero point of the measurement, since the length of T1, which is taken into account during the measurement, is not exactly 165 mm (on my T1). Using a 300 mm electronic caliper and a set of plane-parallel length measures (with a step of 0.1 mm and 0.01 mm), I determined the exact moment of transition of T1 readings from xx.0 to xx.5 mm and entered my correction.

totally agree about the power off procedure…

And I am very disappointed in the screen. There is no backlight, so in low light conditions it is very difficult to read…

Hello, there is a backlight you can activate it but covering the screen with your hand and pulling the tape out. The device automatically goes into sleep mode after 5 minutes of not using and draws near 0 power but turns back on if the tape moves (and turns off after 5 hours)
