Been charging for about 12 hours, status still shows “Charging Battery”. Documents state it comes 60% charged when shipped. Will the status change at 100%?
Hello! The battery should be fully charged now as it will only display that when charging regardless of charge status. We are working on making a more visual indicator in a future update.

Hello, after charging my t1 for the first time the side screen stayed saying "charging battery " and it won’t turn on, what happen?, what can I do?

Correct, and the "battery charging "stays on even without the battery, I put the battery and still on, nothing happens!

Does the top screen still show Charging battery?
E-Ink displays keep whatever was last displayed on them without power. If you power it on it should flash a few times and reset itself.

I’m still waiting for somebody to tell me what to do about it! I used the unit once, put ot to charge and then nothing happens!

iYeah, the status should normally change once it hits 100%, so if it’s still showing “Charging Battery” after 12 hours, something might be off. A few things you can try:

Unplug and plug it back in

Try a different cable or power adapter

Restart the device
-
Check if it’s actually increasing in percentage or stuck
Sometimes the indicator gets stuck even when the battery is full, so a quick reconnect or restart usually fixes it. If it still doesn’t change after that, it could be a calibration issue or hardware problem.
