The blade of this tape measure should have stud markings every 16” like a typical tape measure. I realize that I can use the layout guide feature but honestly the markings on the tape are way faster and easier to use for stud layout. It’s such a subtle and simple feature that most tape measures have and it wouldn’t effect the usage of the tape in any other way!

Hello, thanks for the suggestion and we have already converted manufacturing to this new blade style! It will take a few months before this trickles into sales channels but we have changed this for all future T1s as well as blade replacements!
How can I order one and make sure that it’s the new style blade with the stud layout?
If I order it from the reekon store will it definitely be a blade with stud layout?

Hey there, I just bought the T1 tomahawk (Aug 2025) after seeing this reply saying it was rolling out march… I’m also seeing the $99 one with the new tape… unfortunately the one that arrived didn’t have the new tape! Still the same old one. What happened? Am I able to get this new tape to replace it?
Hey Sammy, this has rolled out at the factory but has varying times of when it will fully replace all inventory as there can sometimes be 6-8 month time lags to fully ‘flush’ inventory in the system. Please send me a DM later in September and can see about getting you one once the new batch has arrived.
That is also correct that the T1M ($99 one) will have this on all blades as well.
