Tomahawk won't connect to app

Device shows up as available in the ALL window, but click on it, the icon spins for a couple of seconds, and then the app shows nothing connected, or available. Latest app, latest firmware.

Deleted app and reinstalled - same behaviour

What can I try next ?

So, (no joy) (no joy) (no joy) (no joy) - repeated attempts
then I had an idea, and I switched on my new printer and mounted that again, THEN looked for the Tomahawk - THIS time it found it and all is well.
