Having trouble calibrating the measurement blade on the T1M

The T1M first had problems asking me to go from 10 inches to 0 inches over and over again.

I did a firmware update, but had the same problems.

I turned the unit off and tried again with the same problems.

I turned the unit off again and pulled the blade in and out several times until it gave me a random number measurement. This time it allowed me to go through the calibration setup, but when I got to the end it told me I had to try again.

Repeated attempts have all failed.

I have read about similar problems on the T1, but I don’t think the battery is removable on the T1M.

What else can I try?
