URGENT: T1 Dead after not even 1 year of light use

Hello folks and support,

Sorry to send this here, but I don’t know what else to do. I’ve been away due to a cancer battle and have not had a good time of it. trying to get back on my feet.

I came to recharge my T1 to find it needed to be recalibrated yet again, sick of this. In doing so, the internal mechanism (spring drive) is damaged and not through fault of my own. the tape won’t return in properly and it’s spat out an internal plastic part as well as the front locking insert nose, so I now have a T1 that won’t return it’s tape and won’t connect to bluetooth properly either. So much for an investment in a tool that’s supposed to change my life as a blind woodworker.

It’s not been dropped or abused, it’s stored in my office next to my cad computer.

I really need some help here and don’t know what to do.

I sent a email when i first got mine about the weak spring, mine works ok on short measurements but when taken out pass 5m or so the spring wont retract the blade, you have to help by pushing in the blade.
